The post Franklin, Colonial Men’s shoe first appeared on Fugawee.]]> Franklins is our best men’s Colonial shoes.  It is all leather and leather lined.  It is a dressy shoe, with a long tongue and only comes in black smooth finish.  The Franklin is good for the Squire, Merchant or Governor. It requires a buckle but could be tied.

The toe is slooped and slightly square, but we have added a bit of toe room for modern feet while still keeping the look of 18th Century. It has been used on the Broadway stage of “Franklin” and “Hamilton” among others.

The heel is normal 1 “ stack leather heel. The latchets will accept 1 ¼” buckle.

Whole and half sizes, E width only 7 to 13. Cost $ 136.51
